We work with a compact team of driven and talented specialists and think it is a sport to be on top of the latest innovations in the field of geo-data and Augmented Reality. Together with our customers we create solutions where the goal of “preventing excavation damage” is central.
At the beginning of 2019, we became a participant in the Dutch Knowledge Centre for Underground Construction and Use of Space (COB). The COB is a network organisation, a foundation to which some sixty parties are now affiliated, all of whom are involved in underground construction and use of space.
The network includes engineering firms, construction companies, governments, knowledge institutes and service providers such as BlindGuide. Together, we ensure that issues relating to underground construction are tackled effectively and pre-competitively. The knowledge developed belongs to everyone, for everyone.
At the COB congress in 2019, a subsession was held to discuss a positive solution to this problem: rewarding Reporting of Divergent Location. Is it possible to develop a ‘performance ladder for careful excavation’ so that everyone would like to participate and all those involved would benefit from it?
Jarko van Bloois, Edith Boonsma and Han Beukers have launched an initiative to this end within the COB network. In order to achieve a shift in the way we think about the careful excavation process and to set up a stimulating system, people and organisations are needed who are prepared to take a lot of hurdles. Who takes up the challenge and would like to think along with you? Who will take up the challenge?
