The survey feature was developed by BlindGuide by staying in dialogue with the sector and several of our customers asking us the following question:
In addition to viewing KLIC and measuring distances in Augmented Reality, can I also measure my newly laid cable or pipe with the BlindGuide KLIC App?
We placed this question on our roadmap and as of today the answer is “YES“. In combination with our solution for accurate GNSS positioning, we now offer you the possibility to measure your work immediately after construction when the ground is still open. That saves time and money.
Ensuring quality
The underground infrastructure in the Netherlands is a complex network and essential for everyone. We are 24/7 dependent on the utilities in the subsurface. In addition to visualizing KLIC & geo-data, we now also offer mapping of this infrastructure. This makes it possible to limit disruptions and damage and to better guarantee the quality of your GIS data.
Survey functionality
By purchasing the survey subscription you are able to quickly and accurately collect and store geo-information. The survey feature is suitable for performing daily surveying tasks such as measuring the location of objects and locating utilities.
The clear interface in Augmented Reality makes it very easy to operate the survey functionality.

Export
The measured points are given an RD and a GPS coordinate. The recorded data can be exported to a CSV file that you can send to your colleagues at the drawing office for revision drawings. You do not need any specific surveying experience to quickly get started with our app. In the last column we also show the accuracy with which the survey measurement was carried out.
Subscriptions
The subscription can be purchased in three variants:
- Monthly subscription;
- Quarterly subscription;
- Year subscription.
This combination with a BlindGuide Augmented Reality KLIC app is unique and can provide considerable savings in the execution of your project. The measuring function is for the time being only available for our Android users.
Survey with ground penetrarting radar
Searching for utilities without digging is also possible and increasingly hot topic due to recent court rulings. Detection without trial trenches can greatly reduce excavation work and damage to utilities. For more information about scanning with ground penetrating radar, we would like to refer you to our sister organisation euroradar.
