Release Notes is our periodic update in which we highlight the recent product improvements we have made, so that you can easily stay informed of what’s new in the KLIC app or ETL portal.
Measuring feature
A function that used to be available in an early version and is now back again at the request of many. With the new measurement function you can measure distances between two points on the map or between a point on the map and your location. This is useful if you want to know how far a cable actually lies from the facade.
.

Loading KLIC-WIN data
In this update we automatically load the new KLIC WIN data when it is available. If the new KLIC WIN data is not avalable the traditional PNG KLIC data is loaded onto the map.
At this moment the KLIC WIN counter is at 99,8% so not all network operators have switched to KLIC-WIN yet.
To view new KLIC-WIN data in Augmented Reality it is still necessary to have your KLIC zip file converted by the ETL portal.
In-app browser
With the new in-app browser, you can sort the previously loaded KLIC zipfiles by date. In addition, you also get the possibility to delete certain KLIC zipfiles from your list because the project has been completed or the KLIC is no longer valid. In this way, you can keep an clear overview of the projects that are currently in progress.

KLIC layers to network administrator & themes
In this update the KLIC layers are sorted by network administrator and themes. This makes it clear when you want to enable or disable certain layers in a large KLIC. The layers and themes can be switched on or off separately in this menu, or by network administrator. This also applies to the annotations and measurements per item.
Identifier
Within the Augmented Reality mode this features already existed, but now the indentifier feature is also available on the 2D map.
By touching a line with your finger on the screen, you get to see what it is and what the properties of the utilities are. If it is very busy in the ground where you are standing and you have accidentally touched several cables on your screen, you can easily scroll. The color of the border indicates which identifier belongs to which network.

Adding your own work instructions or project planning to KLIC
Would you like to give your people outside more information about a project via work instructions that are accesable in the KLIC app so that they can always carry it with them and read it?
This can now be done via the ETL Tool. Simply add the PDF files you find important for your people outside of work and as soon as they read the new ETL.zip in the BlindGuide KLIC app, they can read your schedule as an attachment in the app.
So they always have this information at their disposal.
What do these new features cost?
As you can see below, we will also include an in-app store in the app so that you can quickly and easily choose the package that suits you best.
Free
In short, it means that the KLIC-WIN loads data and the new layers of structure per grid manager and themes are made available to everyone free of charge.
The only restriction on loading the new KLIC-WN data is the size of the unpacked KLIC zip file. It can happen that Kadaster delivers a KLIC Zipfile that is too big to be unpacked on your smartphone or tablet. In that case you can have the KLIC Zipfile converted in the ETL tool and we charge 1 credit per conversion.

The measurement function on the map and the display of no more advertisements are bundled together in 1 package and are included in the Plus package. Customers who had already bought off the advertisements get the measuring function.
